TIPS FOR VIEWING STREAMING VIDEO
1. RealPlayer G2™ is required to view the RealVideo® presentations. You may download a free version from the link at the bottom of this page. Install RealPlayer G2™ as a plugin for your web browser.

2. Playback performance of any streaming media on the Internet depends heavily on the speed and quality of your connection, determined both by your connection device and your telecommunications infrastructure. The server delivering the streaming media will adjust automatically to your connection speed. You can view the speed status in the window at the bottom of RealPlayer G2™:

For a 28.8K modem, best expected reception will be at 20Kbps.
For a 56K modem, best expected reception will be at 32Kbps.
Faster connections may receive at up to 100Kbps.

The audio portion of the presentations should perform adequately even with poor connections. Since video is much more data intensive, its playback is more obviously affected by the quality of your connection. The slower your connection the more choppy will be your video playback. However, even at 20Kbps, good audio combined with fair video should produce a reasonably understandable albeit more visually choppy presentation.
